Default Working at EA games , help?

So here's my dilema...

It's looking like , it's a possibility that I may get a look over from EA for employment.

I have this friend..who hooked me up with EA games in Burnaby/Vancouver..I've had a couple email correspondence's through my friend with a lead programmer there , who told me to send my resume to him and he would make sure it got into the "right hands" there.

I just got in contact with one of my old instructors as well who works at Radical Entertainment (a subsidiary of EA btw) and he told me I could float his name into my resume as well..(he is also a programmer).

He then proceeded to ask me to let him know what position I'd be applying for in case they give him a call....

That left me thinking..I have degrees in Digital Animation and Special Effects...as well as..New Media Studies and Video Game Design and Development...I mean I love to Animate..it seriously is fun for me to lay 10,000 keys and watch something come to life..but I also love to play and dissect games..to the nth degree.

If I wanted to get in on the ground floor..like I mean entry level position..what should I gun for..would it be laughable to them if I applied for a Junior Animator position or would something along the lines of QA Tester be more appropriate?

I'm just a little hesitant on what i should do..this is a one shot (in my mind)..so I want to make it count.

any ideas or help/suggestions I'd really appreciate and like to hear.

Grow some balls - but seriously I don't know specifically about this field but you need to be a lot more confident for starters.

Entry level stuff tends to chew people up and spit them out of the industry, and this is at non-EA corps. My suggestion is toughen yourself up and try to get the best job that you'd be able to do.

You state your goals on your resume...that will tell the reviewer what you are striving for.

When asked about what position you are looking for, you tell them the position you are ultimately looking for (don't be afraid of seeming overambitious), and that you would be willing to take what is available to gain experience within the company.

The key is really knowing where you want to go and then projecting your determination to get there.

Good luck.
